I have removed the legacy Exchange servers from our network. But now I keep
seeing EventID 5006 and 5020 the source is MSExchange Transport. It is
trying to find a route to one of the old exchange servers. I ran
Get-ExchangeServer and it lists one of the old Exchange servers. I have
already moved all the mailboxes and public folders. I have unistalled
exchange on the old servers. How do I remove that Exchange server? Also the
error seems to be referencing a routing group. How do I display a list of
routing groups on the exchange 2007 server so that I can remove it? Is there
anything in the EMC to do this?

TIA

First ensure that you have gone through these steps if this was the
last legacy Exchange box. If goes over deleting the routing group
connector that is no longer needed using Remove-RoutingGroupConnector
cmdlet.

Hi,

If you want to see them,

EMS:

get-routinggroupconnector

You will also be able to see them in Exchange System manager (ESM - Exchange
2003) but not edit them other than to rename them. You cannot see them in
EMC.

Once you have performed get-routinggroupconnector, to remove:

remove-routinggroupconnector -identity "nameofconnector"

Hope that helps,

Oliver

I have tried to use the get-routinggroupconnector cmd and it returns
nothing. It goes back to a cmd prompt. Any ideas?

Do you see the Exchange Server if looking with adsiedit.msc?
