We have two domains, a root domain (which no one goes in), and a child domain
(which everyone is in). When our Exchange Server 2003 was created, the
Recipient Policy that was added has a filter rule on it specifying to only
update the production domain with email account information. We now want to
include the root domain as well for creating email addresses. I would like
to adjust the filter on this recipient policy, but the "Modify" button is
greyed out. It would appear once it is created and in use, you can not
modify the filter rules. Is this true? Can I edit them in some other mmc;
like ADSI edit, or Active Directory Schema - or must I create another
Recipient policy?

Hi,

You should be able to modify the recipient policy with the gui, but since it
isn't possible you can either create another one or change the existing
using adsiedit.
