Hello there

When opening an Exchange System Manager and looking at my organization, the
only information I can get on a specific mailbox is the size of it, and how
many items are in it. However I would like to open it a bit more, maybe
being able to see the dates of the emails in it, or maybe even read the
subjects of the mails.

The only way I can think of that would achieve this would be to install an
Outlook client and then log on with the user in question and view the
mailbox that way, but I was hoping there would be an easier and more elegant
way.

Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks in advance
Ib

Use OWA, if you don't want to use Outlook (and don't install outlook on your
Exchange server(s)). You can't see anything in ESM. You'll need to have the
user's password, or have granted your account full mailbox access, in order
to do this - so it should be done only if management officially instructs
you to do this. Reading users' mail is not necessary to do Exchange
administration and administrators are automatically denied access by
default.

Ah yes, OWA. I'll have a look at it.

Thanks
