Hi,
One customer need send e-mails to the users, which is from company, but
e-mail box is not in the Exchange server - in the Exchange server are users
a,b,c - with e-mail address a@company.com, b@company.com and c@company.com.
But exist users, which have e-mail address x@company.com, y@company.com -
this are not in the Exchange server. Now when I send, I receive back error
message, that user y and x is not in the @company.com and is impossible send
any mail.
Exist any solution for this request.
Thanks
Jaro

What exactly is Exchange being used for in this organization? Is Exchange
Server responsible for the hosted domain @company.com or is it being hosting
by some other ISP? How are x and y sending/receiving internet mail now?

Hi John,
@company.com is hosted by other ISP. SBS 2003 server is new in the company,
yet use the company POP3 download from ISP. Now I use POP3 connector for
download from ISP - for the user in LAN with SBS server, but any other users
(out from company LAN) will use next dowload with POP3 protocol in separate
PC. This work OK, but from SBS LAN is inpossible send any e-mail - to
xy@company.com address, because this is not in the SBS Domain.
Is possible this ?
Thanks Jaro

You will need to have the users stop POP'ing the mail into their mail
clients directly from the ISP and have them POP it from Exchange Server
which is set it to download it with POP3 Connector.

John - thanks, but this is for the download from ISP to Exchange, but I ask
for the possibility download with client (Outlook) from Exchange mail server.

Well, if the client has an Exchange Mailbox then he/she can access in many
different ways. Outlook Web Access (OWA), RPC over HTTPs, Exchange Active
Sync with Windows Mobile Devices or POP3. Since your SBS CAL includes a
copy of Outlook 2003, I would setup RPC over HTTPs for your remote users.
If you still want to use POP3 to download to client then have them
Authenticate to your server with their domain credentials in the POP3
account setttings on the client.
