I've seen a lot of questions about this issue, but I still need any sure
about something: is it really relvant the workstation OS and Outlook version
(and both updates) when using roaming profiles?
I ask this, because I have a customer with a 30/40 desktop client machines
connected to Exchange 2K and Win2K.
Some users have roaming profile implemented.
I crated a new user copying it from an already created user with roaming
profile (the profile path and home folder are correct and work fine).
Although, any time the user logs into a differente client machine, it starts
outlook setup (sometimes is outlook 2j, another is outlook2k3).
I've read about that issue related to having same OS and Outlook versions,
so that wouldn't happen.
The thing is: that old user account used to log into a machine with a W2K
Pro + Outlook 2K. That machine had problems and was reinstalled with XPPro +
Outlook2K3.
When he logged in for the first time on the "new" machine it didn't started
outlook setup - it went directly to he's mailbox without him to need
configure anything.
Can you explain this? Why it doesn't work for the new user?
