I have setup a frontend server and can login via a web browser and
everything works fine. I then open up outlook and change it to my frontend
server and then open outlook and it works fine. I then close outlook and go
into control panel and look in the properties and it has changed the server
from frontend to the backend server. Why has that happened, i was expecting
my outlook client to always say the name of the frontend server.

How do i fix this problem

Hi,

If Outlook is configured to use MAPI it will always connect to the backend
server. If you configure Outlook to use RPC over HTTPS it can use the fe
server.

Migrating to a FrontEnd/Backend Configuration..... I am playing on moving my users to a frontend backend I plan on using the old server as a frontend and just flipping the check box on it. Then moving all my mailboxes and public folders over to the backend server. Is there any additional go

OWA garbled after establishing frontend/backend config I installed a second server into my Exchange organization, intending it to be the front-end server. All mailboxes are still on the original server (server1). After I completed the install of server2, I made it a front-end and rebooted. On reboot, OWA b
