Outlook Delegate Permissions Across Domains

We have a mailbox in domainA, and would like to assign calendar only delegate
permissions to a user object in domainB.

Is that possible, or must both the mailbox owner and delegate exist in the
same domain/GAL?

Old reminders are comming up again in Outlook I have a client that uses Exchange 2000 and all the clients use Outlook 2000.
