Hi all!

I experienced a problem with the connectivity of Outlook 2k3 to our Exchange
2k3 SP2.
During startup of the client Outlook searches up to 10 or 15 minutes for the
Domaincontroller and Exchange Server. In the "connection status" view I see
connections to DC and Exchange in status "will be established". One or two
connections are categorized as "reference". After a couple of minutes is
seems that the client runs into a timeout and tries to connect to a different
DC. That work fine - sometimes.

We have that issue with a couple of DC's but did not get any error code or
event entry neither on a DC nor on a client.

Does anybody has got a sudden inspiration on that?!

Many thanks in advanched.

Thomas,

Have users ever been able to connect successfully to the DCs ?
Is it just one client this occurs on or all clients ?
Are the DCs local to the Outlook user ?

Regards

Paul

Paul,

yes the users have been able to contact the DC. There are several DC's
within the network and it is not the case that the DC is always a local one.
But that worked in the past. This is also to all Clients.
