Hi all,
For some reason our OWA (exchange 5.5) is displaying all
messages in the users Inbox and other folders as Unread.
And when you do read a message using OWA it doesn't change
the status to read. Also, using IE 6 on an xp box I can
reply to messages just fine, but from my win2k machine I
click on reply and the display box goes away and the reply
box never pops up.
any ideas?
tx in advance!!
Mark

Hi Mark,
Are user's using offline mode?
There's a recent store.exe for Exchange 5.5 and Exchange
2K hot fix where mark read advises were being lost for
OWA and other client utils when in offline mode.
Here's the KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;818071&Product=ech
Thanks,
Erica

thanks for the info,
I checked the use of offline mode and it isn't being used
on my machine. Also, I had another user check the status
of their messages in owa and their's looked fine.
So it almost looks user or machine specific in nature,
but I tried it on an xp and win2k box for my account and
both showed the symptom.
weird...

What version of Outlook are you using?
I have seen problems with Outlook 2003 randomly not
showing up mark reads in OWA even though they are mark
read in Outlook. I have yet to open a case with MSFT
until I get a reproducible case.
Thanks,
Erica
