We are currently running Exchange 5.5 SP4 I loaded the
MS03-047: Vulnerability in Exchange Server 5.5 Outlook Web
Access Could Allow Cross-Site Scripting Attack security
patch and the Text in the body of Messages no longer
appear. I remove the patch did not resolve. I uninstalled
OWA and reinstalled. OWA working fine. I reapplied the
patch and the issue returns. Anyone have a solution?
Thank you,
Mary

Quite a few people have reported this problem. One person reported
that following the instructions here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314532

provided a solution, especially noting the creation of the c:\TMP
directory.

Microsoft has also released two new revisions of the bulletin at:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-047.asp

but make no mention of a fix for this problem in the revision notes.
