hi all,
When ever some one in our domin sends an e-mail to some one in another
domin, I need to change the FROM address. Example if i send a mail
berylwilson@portalpeople.net to someone@hotmail.com, then
someone@hotmail.com should see contact@portalpeople.net as FROM e-mail
instead of berylwilson@portalpeople.net. I have registered an event sink for
this purpose, with this rule "rcpt to=*". Inside ISMTPOnArrival_OnArrival
sub routine i have changed Msg.From = contact@portalpeople.net. But all in
vain....Yet i dont see the FROM e-mail address changed to
conatct@portalpeople.net...

I think you need to use OnSessionStart event in this case.

I have done that for ChooseFrom application that implements similar
functionality.

ChooseFrom is a dll application that has been developed in VB6.
