Hi,

Our client use Outlook 2000 and our system E2K on win2K. I created new
folder ( users name under departman name) in public folder. The users
folder permision are user_name - reviewer. Now i send some mail to the
folders then users can read the mail. But when i send attach mail to the
folder. user can not read the mail and "can't open this item. You do have
sufficient permission to perfom this operation on this object.." message
appear. When i give edit permission the user right the user can read but
also can delete attach in the mail. How can i perform users read attachment
mail.

Thanks

Tolgay:

This could be caused by file level or exchange aware antivirus on the
Outlook client. Depending on what the antivirus is doing, it may attempt to
write a signature to an attachment, which fails due to the fact that users
do not have these permissions. These could be in the form of software
installed on the client, a com addin, or an addin to Outlook. I generally
see either software or outlook addin. You can review your outlook addins by
going to Tools -> Options -> Other Tab -> Advanced Options Button -> Add-In
Manager. Disable anything that looks like antivirus here, stop and restart
the client, and see if you get the same error.

Hope that helps.

Tim
