Is there a way in Exchange Server 2003 SP2 to move the Exchange
binaries from one physical drive to another?

This was possible in v5.5 using Performance Optimizer, but I can't
seem to find the way to accomplish this in Exchange 2003. There's tons
of info available about moving tracking files, transaction log files,
databases, etc. but I can't seem to find anything on moving the
binaries.

I'm hoping a reinstall isn't necessary, but if it is, I'd appreciate
thoughts on the safest method.

Thanks,
Tom

Why are you trying to do that?
It's totally useless in terms of performance where they are physically
stored...

Yes, I understand that the location of the binaries aren't critical to
performance. My issue is that I want to rebuild the array underneath
the disk partition that the binaries happen to be sitting on.

Then you can stop all Exchange services, move the files somewhere else,
rebuild the array, move them back and restart the services.

Good suggestion... but I don't think I was clear enough in that I'd
like to move the binaries to a new drive letter.

In other words, the binaries are on E: and I'd like to move them to F:
as a new permanent home. Is this possible? If not, then perhaps I will
need to use your suggestion to rebuild the array and then just keep
them on E: forever.

Thanks,
Tom

I think your only option is to remove and re-install Exchange, then.

Thanks very much. Not the answer I was hoping for, but I appreciate
the response!
