Migrate from iplanet

I need some help.I need to migrate some mailboxes from Iplanet to Exchange.
I already have an exchange server,but is only locally and my iplanet server
is my internet mail server using smtp. I have to migrate my mailboxes in the
Iplanet server to a new Exchange server and make this new server my internet
mail server.I don't know how to do that,because i can't make it faster. I was
thinking using both servers and add a mx record in the DNS server with a
minor priority while the mailboxes are been migrate.
I will appreciate any help.
