Can anyone give me detailed instructions (or article) on migrating our
existing Exchange 2003 server to a new server? I would like the new server
to have the same netbios name/ip address as the old server (eliminating dns
changes). I also have backup exec version 9.1 with an Exchange agent that
will allow me to do a full backup of the source exchange server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Kim

You're better off giving the server a new name and IP address and using the
move mailbox wizard to move the mailboxes off of your old server.

If you use the same netbios name you may encouter strange issues later down
the line that may be difficult to troubleshoot. Just a thought taken from my
previous experience....
