Hello,

I'm using Exchange 2000 sp3 on a Windows 2000 Adv Srvr.
I have a web-based SQL database hosted on a remote site for my users and
they need the ability to send outbound SMTP emails using the database but
using my SMTP engine. Per the database host, I will need to setup mail relay
for SMTP on my end and enter the IP of the database host. Is the following
path/steps the proper way to set this up and if not, please advise of where
to.
FYI, I use the "Default SMTP Virtual Server".
Thank you.

EXCHANGE SYSTEM MANAGER - ADMIN GROUP - SERVERS - SERVERNAME - PROTOCOLS -
SMTP - DEFAULT SMTP VIRTUAL SERVER - PROPERTIES - ACCESS TAB - RELAY

Hi,

Yes, that is the proper path, enter the IP address of the server that you
will allow and it should work.
