Subject: Inbound SMTP message submitted to categorizer
Date: Wed, 10 Jan 2007 10:34:48 -0800
Recently one of our users notified me that he never received three
inbound messages from the internet, to our Exchange 2000 server (with
last SP installed). I looked at the message tracking log, and saw the
messages in there but the last event is 'Message submitted to
categorizer' and thats it. He has been able to receive messages from
other remote senders, and has even received messages from this same
sender in the past.
I've looked through the event logs and SMTP logs but nothing stood out.
I also checked the queues in ESM -- nothing.
For the time being (until we get our new gateway in production) we also
have BrightMail 6 and Trend ScanMail 7 running on the same server.
Trend has an sink installed for scanning messages, I'm not sure how
BrightMail hooks in. But I've gone through the logs in both products
and didn't find any trace of the messages.
Can anyone offer any advice on how to track down these message that
have seeminly disappeared? We have about 200 other users on the same
server, no one else had had any issues.
Also I'm not sure if this makes a different, but what makes this user
unique is that he uses a Mac (with iMail) to check his mail.
Thanks
M
