Hi all,
I appreciate if anyone could help me shed some light on the application log
error EventID: 0 Source:ESE97 Category: Performance
Description: MSExchangeIS [944] Unexpected Win32 error: 0x57..
I've been getting every second in my Exchange mail server and I start seeing
slowness across the company when clients try to open Outlook..
I want to resolve this issue before everything out of control..I couldn't
find any articles helpful regarding this issue in MSKB..
Thanks for your help..

What version of store.exe are you running? Ensure that you are on the
latest builds.

Hope that helps.

There are many hotfixes that came along for the store after SP4.
Specifically what version of store.exe are you running?

I appreciate if you could tell me how to find out the version of
Store.exe...
I don't have 'filever.exe' to scan the versions..

Browse to the exchsrvr\bin directory, and look for the file store.exe. Go
into the properties of this file and there should be a Version tab. There
should be the verison number listed (i.e. 5.5.2653.23). What does yours
say?

OK - there are some later versions of the Information Store executable
(store.exe) that you'll want to install. You have SP4, so that's not bad,
but you'll want to get up to date.
The link below will take you directly to our latest version that we suggest
you download and install on the server. It will stop services while
installing so users will be without mail for a little bit until it's done.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9EA49782-26B4-470E-950C-3CDCFDC27211&displaylang=en
If you can't get to that site you can do the following:
Go to http://microsoft.com/exchange
Click on Most Popular Downloads link
Click on Exchange Server 5.5
Click on Exchange 5.5 Information Store Patch 2657.74 and download to
install.
Hope that helps!

Hi Iona,
thanks for your input..
but you didn't explain how it related to the event error message..
Is it because of I didn't have the latest hotfixes in my Exchange?
What does this error message say?
Why didn't I have the problem before?
What triggered that event error?
I appreciate if you could answer me..
Thanks..
Have a nice day..

I haven't been able to find the exact error, but what I've found close to it
deals with performance issues of the server, in particular to store.exe.
There are patches later than what you have that do address such, and so I
believe that is why Jaclynn suggested to get to the latest version.
