|

Dear Gurus,
We have an W2K AD Forest with 6000 users on Exchange 5.5. I have
created the ADC from Exch 5.5 to W2K( no problems) So far so good... I have
ran forestprep, domainprep without any problems. I have installed the First
Exchange 2000 into the Exchange 5.5 Site for COEXSISTANCE.. and moved my own
Mailbox without any problems... Everything is working great... no errors..
Now my Preventive task and question?
Before I move the remaining mailboxes from 5.5 to 2000, I want to make sure
the information stored in AD( GC) is CORRECT and pretty much the same as in
Exch 5.5 Directory(as much as possible). For example, I would like to make
sure that when I enter a users alias in my OUTLOOK, the check name function
correctly finds users as it did in Exchange 5.5.
QUestions:
Does anyone have any easier way or quicker way to check so many users ?
Or any tips on avoiding future RESOLUTION(Check Name) problems as soon as I
move the rest of the mailboxes ?
Thanks for your experience and help.

Thanks FRANK. I'm looking forward to your answer on this question.
So far the only tool I have found that might do some help is a tool on the
Exchange 2000 SP2 CD called e2kdsinted.exe. I'm currently working with it.
I hope you have some other ideas....

Hi Juan,
Thanks for your post.
Do you mean tool E2kdsinteg.exe? It only reports the health of the Active
Directory (AD) once Exchange 2000 or the Exchange 2000 Active Directory
Connector (ADC) has been installed and running.
Thanks,
Frank

Hi Juan,
I researched. There is no such tool to do the batch check name job. The
tool you mentioned is fine to check the AD health.
Thanks,
Frank
