All

I have just installed Exchange 2000SP3 onto a 2003SP1 server configured as a
Native mode DC in a 2 DC lab but after rebooting and allowing some time for
replication to take place I have run into some problems

In Event viewer I get

NNTPSVC
EventID: 101
The server was unable to add the virtual root '/' for the directory
'/Internet Newsgroups' due to the following error: The parameter is
incorrect. The data is the error code.

When I open System Manager and attempt to open First Admin Group / Folders /
Public Folders an error dialogue box appears with the following:

The object is no longer available. Push F5 to refresh the display and try
again
ID no: 80040e19
Exchange System Manager

When I open First Admin Group / Servers / / Protocols another
error dialogue box appears which has a title of Exchange IRCX and the
message is:

MMC has detected an error in a snap-in

The same error message appears after using the snap-in in a new MMC console.

I imaged both DCs before installing Exchange but I'd like to attempt to fix
these errors if possible and if it helps before installing Exchange both DCs
were passing ADdiag, DCdiag and NetDiag and there were no errors in the
Event Viewer on either box.

regards,

Thanks Leif.

I had thought of putting 2000 Server images on the lab but I then mis-read:

Anyone install the Exchange 12 Beta? I'm looking for some features on the unified messaging front and want to know how well it would act as a VM system. Does it have the Features to become our VM system, or is it some kind of Add on to an existing System? Thanks, Scott<-
