Hi.
Exchange server #2 took over all roles and we moved all accounts/mailboxes
from server1 to #2, all these accounts worked fine afterwords, mailboxes is
intact to and works.
We took Exchange server1 down for maintance and all still worked fine on the
new Exchange server #2...
But here is the problem: When creating new users from within AD and
assigning them Exchange Mailbox enabled they get all the Exchange Tasks on
the AD properties of the user..but the Mailbox never showes up and the user
is not listed in Exchange at all, cant send mail to new user either,
have any of you seen this before?
Both Server1 and 2 are server 2000 and with DNS and DHCP.
We are now afraid to install a fresh copy of Exchange 2000 again on the
upgraded server1, the problem might be replicated to the new installation.

Thanks
Ole

Hi,

Check that the recipient update service is configured to use the correct
exchange server.
