Good morning!
We have a client who has an Exchange 2003 SP2 Server. They have a corporate
office (using Outlook 2003 / Outlook 2007) and have around 200 kiosks in
Malls across America. The kiosks use OWA (corporate decision...do not want
to use Outlook to maintain e-mail on the server / disallow local .pst
files). They also have District Managers that make use of RPC over HTTPS.
Issue is that CEO will send out metting requests. Everyone (regardless of
'client') can see this e-mail in the Inbox. None of the corporate users
have an issue doing anything with it. Same holds true for the District
Managers. However, as best we know, for *SOME* of the kiosk users (again,
not sure if all have this issue or if only some have this issue...we are
working on figuring this out) when they open up that e-mail they get a 500
Internal Server error.
My colleague has asked me for help. I asked him the following:
1) is it all users or just some users? (do not know...working on that)
2) What version of IE (probably not relevant, but possibly)? (All kiosks
should be on IE6, but....)
3) For the people who are having the issue....what happens if we use Outlook
(RPC over HTTPS)? (do not know)
4) Any eventIDs on the Exchange Server? (no, nothing).
Anyone have any ideas where to start looking or have any ideas? I mean,
other than asking the questions that I already have....am I misssing any
questions?
Thanks,
Cary
