Experts,

a client of mine is experiencing a problem after his ISP deided to limit the
number of recipients per message to 50. This company regularly sends out
mass mailings (not spam Smile

Is there an option to configure Exchange 2007 in such a way, that it will
send the email in batches if the number of recipients is over a specified
limit? The exact functionality I'm looking for is described in this KB
article, only this is for exchange 5.5:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196818. Is there somthing similar for
Exhange 2007?

Not: He needs to use his ISP as smart host to prevent ending up on black
lists, which has happened before when using DNS delivery. His ISP refuses to
remove the limit.

50 is too restrictive - probably works for consumers but not in a business
environment.

Get a business internet account if the ISP offers it, or look into changing
ISPs or finding an service provider for outbound email. Exchange will drop
messages for recipients exceeding any numerical limitations configured.

Bharat,

thank you for your suggestions. Those are obvious.
So, the exhange 5.5. funtionality where the smtp onnetor was able to break
messages with lots of recipients apart does no longer exists?
(Any sendmail box can do this...)
