Hello.

I have a 3-node A/P Exchange 2003 (SP1) cluster which I want to
install
Exchange 2003 SP2. We hade node1, node2, and node 3. Node 3 (remote
site) is currently the active node.

I have never applied a service pack to an exchange cluster before, so
I am a little concerned about it. I inherited this setup with SP1
currently on it.

I have read MSKB 328839, and step 11 of clustered server update
states

"expand the cluster, expand Groups, right-click the group that
contains "Exchange Virtual Server 1," and then click Upgrade Exchange
Virtual Server."

Will that (Upgrade Virtual Server option) only appear after SP2 is
applied to the passive node? I ask because currently there is no
option for Upgrade Exchange Virtual Server in Cluster Admin, and I
wondered if this does not appear until SP2 is applied to one node.

Based on the nodes mentioned above, should I apply the SP to node1 or
node 2 first?

Any gotchas I should be looking for, or recommendations I should
consider?

Thanks!
