Hi there,

Logging off SSL-protected OWA gives a HTTP 500 -error.

Tried the MSKB "Create Virtual directory on exweb/bin" - didin't help.

What could be the reason?

SP 3 + post sp3 rollup

Any help appreciated!

Ville,

One possible cause is if ASP pages cannot run correctly the IIS
machine. You can create a simple text document and rename it to
test.asp and then try to lunch it under IIS.

If you get the same error code; that means this issue is caused by IIS
components.

In some scenarios, re-registering vbscript.dll (regsvr32 vbscript.dll)
will resolve this issue.

Another cause is if the IWAM account is out of sync/disabled/doesn't
have "Logon as a batch job" rights.

The resolution is to follow KB 822699 to reset IWAM account password.

Hope this helps.

Hi Steve,

thanks for the advice, the KB solved the problem!

Something had messed it up...

Now it works like a charm!
