I have just finished installing an Exch2k3 server and added it to the same
site as my Exch5.5 server (part of my swing server upgrade process). Have
moved all of the mailboxes and public folders over to the 2k3 server
successfully. However, when I create a new user now in AD and add a mailbox
(created on the 2k3 server), this user can get local network mail, but no
email form the internet. The 5.5 server is still the first server in the
site. I think this a replication issue, but not sure.

Hi John,

It may be a replication issue. If your plans are to remove the 5.5 Server I
would suggest pointing your MIX record to the 2003 Server and then remove
the 5.5 Server.

Have you switched your inbound SMTP traffic to the Exchange 2003
server by changing your MX record?

Also, if you create a new mailbox in Exchange 2003, do you see it in
the Exchange 5.5 directory? If not, then you probably have an ADC
Recipient CA problem. You should still have a Recipient CA
replicating changes in AD to the Exchange 5.5 site, either using the
Exchange 5.5 server or the Site Replication Service (SRS) on port 379.
