The following is our setup.
Two servers with Exchange 2007 SP1 configure as a CCR backend.
One server with Exchange 2007 SP1 as a Frontend.
We are in co-existence with Exchange 2003.
Our users access OWA by typing :
https://exchange.domain.com/exchange
For users that have 2003 mailbox as their backend this works.
For users that have 2007 mailbox as their backend, the website redirects to
https://exchange.domain.com/owa after login. This feature is built-in 2007
as we did not have to do any customization for this to work.
Our problem is when we fail over to one node the rediection no longer works.
We fail over to Exchange2, and 2007 mailbox users have this error: HTTP
Error 404 - File or directory not found. However, if they manually type in
https://exchange.domain.com/owa it works. If we fail back to Exchange1
everything works fine again. This problem does not affect 2003 users as
they don't need a redirection from /exchange.
This would not be a problem if we weren't in co-existence mode as we can
then use /owa as the permanent page for web access.
After a CCR failover, is there other service that perhaps has not failed
over properly? Nothing in Cluster Administrator shows any issues as
everything is reporting fine.
