Adding 1st 2007 server in our existing 2003 enviroment. Getting a error after
install concerning the public folder database. Information store folders
working fine. Error is in event log

Event Id 9519
Error 0x8004010f starting database Storage group\ (then a long string of
numbers which seems odd) on the MS Exchange information store.

In Ex Management console when i go to pf store and try to mount database get
this error

Unable to mount Error code MapiexceptionNotFound then that same error code

going into the actual folder itself I see many log and jrs files but no edb
files
Anything i find on it seems to be for 2003 or 2000 and not the problem

Any ideas?

View the properties of the storage group and the PF database. It should tell
you where the data (not the log) files are. If they are missing you wil
either need to recreate the store or restore it from backup.

Yes I did that to see that no edb files were in there. Didn't think I could
just put in a blank file and it won't let me make a new one

nope i created the file exactly how it's stated in the console same location
rebooted still won't mount same error. This is a brand new installation so
nothing to restore.

Can you just delete the database from the management console and recreate
the PF store if you need to?

Talk about annoying. You can't delete the existing one without creating a new
one to take the place of the PF database for the information stores. Then you
can create a new one cuz only one per storage group or some odd error. Can
you say Catch 22. Really un impressed with 2007 so far.
