I was asked by a third party software vendor to make sure
that we have Email Forwarding enabled. Where would I do
this on Exchange 5.5 running on a Windows 2000 server?

Hi,

To make sure that auto forwarding to the internet is enabled, in Exchange
Administrator, bring up the properties of the Internet Mail Service and
select the Internet Mail tab. Select the "Advanced Options" button and make
sure that the checkbox for "Disable Automatic Replies to the Internet" is
cleared.

Here is an article that talks about this setting:

Best Regards,
