Hi

I ran the ESEUTIL tool using the /d /p switches but it did not compact my
database as I thought it would. The tool only removed roughly 200mb from the
priv1.edb and 400mb from priv1.stm. Is there anything else I can do to reduce
the size. I'm in the process of getting user to reduce there mailboxes to
help, but not sure if that would make an impact on the edb file.

Kind Regards

San

Hi,

Before running the tool you must ensure that there is space to gain (look
for event 1221 in the application log).

When users delete something from their mailboxes it will sit in the dumpster
till the mail item retention expires and till the online maintenance har
removed the data. After this you should be able to gain space.
