Hi everyone,

I have started deploying Exchange 2007 on a small company, however I have a
few doubts:

1- This Exchange server will deal directly with all internal and external
e-mail, however it is on the DMZ. Will the Hub transport role work?

2- I need to use a self signed certificate. Will I have to install CA on the
server? And if so does Exchange generate its own certificate or will I have
to request and install a new one?

Thank you so much
Sofia

Edge Transport Server is recommended for the DMZ and I believe Microsoft
does not recommend nor support CAS or Hub in DMZ. Put your Hub Server
behind your firewall. Exchange 2007 generates its own Self Cert but if you
plan on allowing external users access for Outlook Anywhere then you should
