|
|
Hi Guys,
i have installed a Exch 2007 organization, it manages the domain PIPPO.COM.
I'm migrating from a linux/smtp/pop3 server that now store the emails for
the PIPPO.COM domain and i need to configure the forward, from the exch2k7
server to the old linux host for all users that have not an exchange mailbox
at the moment.
In exchange 2000/2003 it would be very simple, using the "forward all
unresolved recipients" option in the SMTP configuration, but in exch2007
there is not the possibilty to configure this option because the SMTP does
not exist as a stand alone service.
.... Where is the "unresolved recipients" option in exchange 2007? If it does
not exist, what's the right workaround??
Have anybody an answer to these questions?
Regards
Lorenz

Hi Lorenz,
You can create a "send connector" in which you can specify the destination
to be "*".
I think this will work for you, try it and come back if you have more
questions.

Obviously there is already a send connector with "*" destination that uses
the old server as smart host, but it doesn't work.

Hi,
I am testing a similar configuration for the moment and have found something
that appears to work:
you configure the "pippo.com" domain as an accepted internal relay domain
and then configure a send connector with the address space pippo.com to
point to the other mail system.
