Our Exchange 2000 servers are in an hosted/asp envirionment and in an other
domain then our pc clients. We still use OL2000 and the client can find and
authenticate to Exchange since they work with a modified hosts file which
hold the hostnames and ip addresses of the ad and exchange servers.
Now we try to connect and authenticate with Outlook 2003 with a modified
lmhosts file, and OL2003 is set to use NTLM authentication. Authentication
and connecting works fine however when we try to change passwords via Outlook
2003 we get an unspecified error message. Strange thing is that it seems to
be working now and then.
What names should be known to the client pc in order to succesfully change
the Outlook password..
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Marco
