Hi,

weīve got some trouble to install the following sp3_Postfix hotfixes
for our exchange 2000 Windows 2000 Advanced Server Cluster (all german
versions):

Exchange2000-KB892986-v2-x86-DEU.exe
Exchange2000-KB894549-x86-DEU.exe
Exchange2000-KB894689-x86-DEU.exe
Exchange2000-KB906780-x86-DEU.exe
Exchange2000-KB916803-x86-DEU.exe

First we tried to install each of them at the passive cluster node. It
failed and we got the message, that we have to stop the cluster-service
before installing the updates.

So, we tried to do this in the way it is described in the kb article:

How to apply Exchange service packs and hotfixes
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328839/en-us

In the first moment it seems to work because the update beginns to run
and ask the questions about the licence agreement and so on, but than
the progress bar doesnīt move any further while checking the
nesseccary memory for the installation. We waited over an hour but
nothing else happend. We tried to do this with all of the hotfixes
above but we didnīt suceed whith any of them.

Any ideas?

Greetings from Frankfurt (Germany)

Christopher

Try stopping IIS and services that depend on it as well.
