Hoi,

I have a strange problem. I have a user who can't send emails through
OWA. With outlook there is no problem. When we send a message in OWA,
we recieve a postmaster-email from our provider saying that relaying
is not allowed. I've tested this also with the administrator account
and there was no problem.
Can some one help me?

I have a exchange 2000 running.

Greets,

Arnout

Test this yourself with the user's mailbox in OWA - select a recipient
address from the GAL and test. Then enter a valid SMTP address outside of
your network and test. See where it fails. OWA is just a client; it doesn't
actually send or recieve mail but sends it to the Exchange server for that,
so it doesn't make any sense that delivery would be different.

Also make sure that you're fully patched and up to date with everything....

Does this happen to the user at only 1 PC or everywhere?
Is that PC correctly configured in DNS
What are your relay security settings like?
