Hi,

I use CDO 1.21 and ASP to create appointments on Exchange 2K server. The
data for the appointment is in the UTF-8 format (Unicode) and the
appointment gets created. But when i view this appointment in the Outlook
client, the data gets corrupted especially the DBCS data. For e.g. if i
create an appointment which has both English and Japanese characters, the
English characters are displayed properly in the Outlook client, but the
Japanese characters get corrupted.

Surprisingly when i retrieve the same appointment using CDO 1.21 and ASP, i
get back the correct data.

Thus it is only in the Outlook client that it gets corrupted.

I do have Japanese font installed on the system.

Thus the question is does CDO support Unicode ?

If yes, then do i have to do some special settings on Outlook Client/
Exchange server etc and what are they ?

Any help will be highly appreiated.

Thanks in advance,

Akhilesh
