|
|
When using OWA (Outlook Web Access) - when new messages arrive I don't have
a way of knowing. I was looking for a way to either activate the
"send/receive"
button on OWA page or refreshing IE every 15 min or so.
Thanks,
Knezz

OWA for both Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 have a little popup window that
temporarily displays when OWA detects that new mail has arrived. Now this
is not immediate. OWA POLLs for new mail every two minutes or so, so there
may be a little delay in receiving the new mail notification via OWA.
Also, both versions of OWA display an icon or a message in the lower left
hand corner informing the user that new mail has been received. The user
will then need to click the "Send and Receive" button to view the new
messages in the Inbox.

Are you using Exchange 5.5? If so, I've a utility here that will do that for
you:

We haven't moved to 2000/2003. We are on 5.5. We plan to move in the next 6
months. Until the move I will need a client solution. I have no rights to
the Exchange Server.

Yes - 5.5
The utility appears to be a Server utility. Does it work on the client side?
I would need a client solution because I don't have full rights to the
Exchange Server.
