Just make it more readable, the proper description for this event would be
the following:

Information Store (3148) An attempt to write to the file
"I:\EXCHSRVR\mdbdata\priv1.edb" at offset 8338673664 (0x00000001f1061000)
for 4096 (0x00001000) bytes failed with system error 21 (0x00000015): "The
device is not ready.". The write operation will fail with error -1022
(0xfffffc02). If this error persists then the file may be damaged and may
need to be restored from a previous backup.

There is a comment on
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=482&eventno=1384&source=ESE98&phase=1
about this but it should be fixed by Exchange 2000 SP3... Are all the hard
disks ok? Any other errors in the event log?

Check your SAN controller logs to see if you have any hw issues.
