Hi,
we are planning install exchange 2003 in our existing exchange 5.5
environment. the goal is a long term coexistence.
my question is regarding setup exchange 2003. i will follow the exchange
deployment tools - but do i realy need to run the active directory connector
before i can install exchange 2003 to my 5.5 organisation ?
i would prefer to install the ex2003 first - check every thing (updates,
configuration...) and run the ADC and the ADMT after my exchange 2003
installation - ist this possible - or must the ADC run before my
exchange2003 install?

thanks a lot.

peter.

Hi,

You must install the ADC first if you want to install the exchange 2003
server into the exchange 5.5 organization. If you want to create a new
exchange organization you don't have to install the ADC at all.
